For our guests travelling from afar

We are deeply grateful to you for travelling from afar to celebrate with us. This page gathers some additional information and optional moments throughout the weekend.

Arrival

Many guests will be arriving throughout Saturday and settling into Hotel Stiemerheide during the afternoon. Feel free to arrive earlier if you wish, we will already be around in the hotel from Friday onwards.
 

Check-in at the hotel begins from 15:00.
At 16:00 on Saturday we invite you to a welcome meal, see below.

Saturday — Welcome meal

Saturday, 11 July · Hotel Stiemerheide

We would love to invite you to a relaxed welcome lunch at Hotel Stiemerheide.

Time:  TBC, 14:00-17:00
Location: Hotel Stiemerheide

This will be a moment to arrive, reconnect, and settle into the weekend together.

 

SATURDAY EVENING

Option to visit the Arboretum in Bokrijk, a very beautiful parc and a soft landing into nature, around 15min drive from the venue. 

Sunday morning

For guests staying at Hotel Stiemerheide, we recommend enjoying a relaxed breakfast at the hotel before making your way to the celebration. Please inform the hotel in case you would like to book breakfast. We will meet you at the wedding venue Cachecour.

Monday morning

For those staying through Monday morning, we plan to have breakfast in the hotel and you are welcome to join us. It feels to us like a moment of integration after our special day with those who wish. Please inform the hotel in case you would like to book breakfast.
 

monday afternoon

Option to visit the National Park Hoge Kempen, a few minutes away from the hotel for an adventure into wilderness. Alternatively, option to visit the Bokrijk open-air museum which displays a large collection of historical buildings from across Flanders.

Exploring Limburg

The region around Genk and Houthalen-Helchteren is known for its forests, cycling paths, lakes, and relaxed nature atmosphere.

Guests extending their stay may enjoy exploring nearby areas such as:

  • Bokrijk
  • Maastricht
  • Hoge Kempen National Park
  • C-mine Genk

The area is especially beautiful for cycling, walking, and slow summer days in nature.
